Setting Up Google Chrome

  1. Open Safari (Or other web browser) on your computer.

  2. In the search bar type in - ‘Download Chrome’.

  3. Click on the first search result.

  4. This will take you to the download page - there will be a big blue button saying ‘Download Chrome’ - click on this to begin the download.

  5. Locate the file you just downloaded called ‘googlechrome.dmg’ (Finder > Downloads - is the usual location).

  6. Open that file and once verified drag the Google Chrome icon into the Applications folder.

  7. Enter the administrator password to allow the install.

  8. Google Chrome will begin to install.

  9. Once install has been completed open your Applications folder and double click on the Chrome Icon.

  10. Click ‘Allow’ when it asks you if you are sure you want to open the application.

  11. A Google Chrome pop up will appear and make sure you have ticked the ‘Set Google Chrome as your default browser’ box.

  12. A system pop-up will appear - Click ‘Use “Chrome”'.

  13. A ‘Make Chrome your Own’ page will appear. Click on the small blue writing that says “Already a Chrome User? Sign In”.

  14. Sign In - Using your school email and password that you have been provided.
