There are three different ways that Google Chrome can/will be updated:
1. Chrome Automatic Updates - Chrome checks for new updates regularly. When an update is available, it will be applied automatically when you close and reopen the browser
2. 'Update Available' Notification - When there is an update available Chrome will often tell you with a notification in the 'More' menu section.
3. Manually Update Chrome
Click the 'More' section in the top right of your window (3 Dots)
Now Select 'Help'
And then 'About Google Chrome'
Chrome will then search for Updates and let you known if you are up to date with the most recent version
